İstanbul Tarihi Yarımada Küçükpazar Alt Bölgesi Bir Koruma Yaklaşımı Model Önerisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; İstanbul Tarihi Yarımada’da Süleymaniye Yenileme Alanı sınırları içerisinde bulunan Küçükpazar alt bölgesinde, kentsel koruma çerçevesinde yapılacak müdahalenin boyutlarının alana özgü belirlenebilmesi için bir model önerisi geliştirilmesidir. Bunun için sosyal ve fiziksel uygulama odaklı stratejiler Küçükpazar üzerinden incelenerek gelecekteki koruma uygulamalarına ışık tutabilecek bir yaklaşım geliştirilmiştir. Kentsel korumanın alt başlığında “yenileme” yerine “sıhhileştirme” modelinin geliştirilebilmesi için Küçükpazar alt bölgesinin sosyo-kültürel ve fiziki yapısı incelenmiş ve mevcut veriler ışığında dönüşümün nasıl başladığı ve sürecin nasıl ilerlediği araştırılmıştır. Küçükpazar alt bölgesindeki kültürel mirasın özgün nitelikleri ile korunması ve nitelikli bir kentsel çevreye dönüşüm amacı ile sosyal dokunun da özgün nitelikleriyle korunabilmesi esas alınmıştır.

The purpose of this research; the definition of a sustainable proposal is to define appropriate intervention methods within the framework of urban protection in the Küçükpazar sub-region within the boundaries of the Suleymaniye Renewal Area in the Historic Peninsula of Istanbul. Under this objective, the structural and socio-economic situation of urban renewal and urban transformation is examined through this region and an approach to shed light on future conservation practices. The socio-cultural and physical structure of the Küçükpazar sub-region has been examined in order to the “rehabilitation” instead of ve “renewal” in the sub-heading of urban protection. How the transformation began and researched was investigated. The preservation of the cultural heritage in the Küçükpazar sub-region with the original characteristics and the preservation of the social texture with the aim of transformation into a qualified urban environment should be essential.
