Montessori Programı Uygulayan Bir Okul Öncesi Eğitim Kurumunda Çocukların Paylaşım Davranışları

Abstract

Okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında, çağdaş yaklaşımlardan biri olan Montessori yaklaşımı; her çocuğun, beceri, ilgi alanları ve öğrenme hızının farklı olduğunu bilen, özgür bir eğitim bilimidir. Montessori programına göre çocuk, seçimlerinde ve karar vermede özgür olmaktan, sosyal ilişkilerini bireysel olarak yönetmekten hoşlanmaktadır. Seçim hakkı, bireysel davranış ve becerinin ön planda olduğu çocuklar için Montessori programı, paylaşım davranışı için de özgür alan oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, Montessori programı uygulanan bir okul öncesi eğitim kurumunda çocukların paylaşım davranışlarını incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, çocukların paylaşım davranışlarını destekleyen ve desteklemeyen faktörler belirlenmiştir. Araştırmaya ait veriler, nitel araştırma yöntemi ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırma deseni olarak durum çalışması yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Montessori programı uygulanan anaokulunda 4 kız, 7 erkek öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 11 öğrenci gözlemlenmiştir. Veriler, “Yapılandırılmamış ve Katılımcı Olmayan Gözlem Yöntemi” ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, betimsel analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın bulgularında “Yemek Paylaşımı”, “Oyuncak Paylaşımı”, “Materyal Paylaşımı” ve “Bilgi Paylaşımı” olmak üzere 4 ana tema oluşturulmuştur. Bu araştırmada, okul öncesi Montessori öğrencilerinin paylaşım davranışları incelenmiş ve paylaşım davranışını etkileyen faktörler belirlenmiştir.

Montessori approach, which is one of the contemporary approaches in preschool education institutions; It is a free educational science that knows that every child has different skills, interests and pace of learning. According to the Montessori program, the child likes to be free in their choices and making decisions, and to manage their social relations individually. The Montessori program creates a free space for sharing behavior for children, where the right to choose, individual behavior and skill are at the forefront. The aim of this research is to examine the sharing behaviors of children in a preschool education institution where Montessori program is applied. In line with this purpose, factors that support and do not support children's sharing behavior were determined. The data of the research were obtained by qualitative research method. A case study was conducted as a research design. In this context, a total of 11 students, 4 girls and 7 boys, were observed in the kindergarten where the Montessori program was applied. The data were collected using the “Unstructured and Non-Participatory Observation Method”. The obtained data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. In the findings of the study, 4 main themes were formed as "Food Sharing", "Toy Sharing", "Material Sharing" and "Information Sharing". In this study, the sharing behaviors of preschool Montessori students were examined and the factors affecting the sharing behavior were determined.
