Türk Hat Sanatında Zerendud Levhalar

Abstract

Hat sanatında altının kullanılması çok eskilere gitmekle beraber 18. ve 19. yüzyıllar zerendûd levhaların Osmanlı sanatında ortaya çıkıp yaygınlaştığı asırlardır. Bu tezde Türk hat sanatında önemli bir yeri olan zerendûd levhalar incelenmiştir. Celî yazıların teşkil ettiği levha sanatının doğup gelişmesi ve zerendûd levhaların hazırlanmasındaki aşamalar ve teknikler tetkik edilmiştir. Ayrıca zerendûd levhaların süslenmesi ele alınarak bu tür levhaların süslenmesinde yaygın olarak kullanılan rokoko tarzı tezyinatın mahiyeti ve gelişimi hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Bu konudaki yazılı kaynaklar araştırıldığı gibi, halen hayatta olan hattat ve müzehhiplerin de görüşlerine başvurulmuştur.

Although the use of gold in calligraphy can be traced to much earlier times, zerendûd plates in the Ottoman art began appearing extensively during the 18th and 19th centuries. In this study, I examined zerendûd plates, which are quite important place in the Turkish art of calligraphy. I focused on the emergence and development of the art of plates mainly consisting of the Jalî style and steps and techniques applied in preparing zerendûd plates. Furthermore, I treated illumination of the zerendûd plates. I studied the nature and development of the rococo style illumination which was commonly used in the illumination of zerendûd plates. In my study, I consulted living masters of these arts as well as written sources.
