Girit Serdarı Gazi Deli Hüseyin Paşa Hayatı, İcraatı ve Hayratı

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Sultan IV. Murad, Sultan İbrahim ve IV. Mehmed döneminde Osmanlı Devleti’nin birçok kademesinde görev almış Deli Hüseyin Paşa’nın hayatı ve icraatlarını incelemeye çalıştık. Özellikle Girit serdarlığı ile yapmış olduğu fedakârlıklar ve kahramanlıkları anlatmaya özen gösterdik. Girit Seferi gibi yirmi beş sene Osmanlı Devleti’ni uğraştıran bir savaşın ilk dönemini ele aldık. Ayrıca çalışmamız biyografinin yanında kısa bir dönem tarihi şeklinde de olmuştur. Bu araştırmada temel kaynak olarak kronikler ile Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi’nden elde edilen belgeler kullanılmıştır. Bundan başka literatürdeki yerli ve yabancı diğer çalışmalarla da desteklenmeye çalışılmıştır. Gazi (Deli) Hüseyin Paşa’nın hem şahsi hem de diğer görevlendirmelerdeki tutumunun yanında devrin siyasi, sosyal, askeri ve ekonomik durum hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Hüseyin Paşa’nın Girit’teki vakfiyesinin muhtevası ile birlikte Girit Seferi ile alakalı ağızdan ağıza dolaşan birkaç türküye de yer verilmiştir. Ek kısmında Gazi (Deli) Hüseyin Paşa’nın Resmo’daki kendi adını taşıyan caminin günümüze kalan kısmının fotoğrafları, yay hadisesine konu olan Acem yayıyla birlikte vakfiyesinin yazmasını da ekledik. Bu tez ile dönem çalışmaları ve biyografi türüne katkı sağladığımızı düşünüyoruz.

In this study, We tried to examine the life and actions of Deli Hüseyin Pasha, who had taken part in many levels of the Ottoman Empire during the reign of Sultan IV. Murad, Sultan Ibrahim and IV. Mehmed. In particular, we paid special attention to the sacrifices and heroism that he had done during the general of Crete. We took with the first period of a war that was struggling with the Ottoman Empire for twenty five years, like the Cretan war. In addition, our study was in the form of a short period in addition to the biography. In this study, chronicles were used as the main sources and documents obtained from the Prime Ministry Ottoman Archive. Furthermore, it has been tried to be supported by other domestic and foreign studies in the written works. Gazi (Deli) Hüseyin Pasha's personal and other assignments, as well as the political, social, military and economic status of the period was given information about. In addition to the content of Hüseyin Paşa's foundation in Crete, a few folk songs about the Cretan war have been included. In the annex, we added photographs of Gazi (Deli) Hüseyin Pasha's mosque, which carries its name in Rethymno, to the present day, and added the writing of its foundation together with the publication of Acem arc which is the subject of the arc event. With this thesis, we think that we contribute to the term studies and biography.
