1950-1980 Arası Yayımlanmış Biyografik Eserlerde Edebiyat Hayatı

Abstract

Edebi türler içinde şiir, roman, hikâye ve tiyatro ön planda yer alır. Bu türlerdeki eserler şair ve yazarların tanınmasında ve edebiyat tarihinde yer almasında birinci derecede belirleyicidir. Bunlar yanında edebiyatçıların kendi hayatlarından ve çevrelerinden söz ettiği biyografik metinler edebiyat için büyük önem arz etmektedir. Nitekim bu türdeki metinlerde şair ve yazarların kişisel hayatı, edebi hayatı, yaşadığı dönemin özellikleri ve başka edebiyatçılara dair bilgiler bulunur. Bu tezde edebiyatçıların biyografik eserlerinde yer alan, edebiyat hayatına dair önemli bilgiler ve değerlendirmeler incelenmiştir. Yazarların kendi edebiyat maceraları, başka edebiyatçılar ve eserler hakkındaki görüşleri ve yaşadıkları dönemin edebiyat ortamındaki belli başlı konular dikkate alınmıştır. Tez kapsamına giren eserler Tanzimat Dönemi’nden 1980’e kadar geçen zamanı içine almaktadır. Yaklaşık 100 yıllık bir edebiyat tarihi kesiti, şair ve yazarların değerlendirmeleri ışığında incelenmiştir. Şair ve yazarların değerlendirmeleri tanıklıklara dayandığı için önemlidir.Tezde edebiyatçıların naklettiği edebiyat hayatı ile edebiyat tarihinde genel kabul görmüş kanaatler ve dönemlendirmelerin ne ölçüde örtüştüğü görülmüş olacaktır. Bunu görmek için en uygun türler biyografik metinlerdir. Yeni Türk edebiyatı döneminde yazılmış tüm biyografik eserleri incelemenin, bir tez için fazla hacimli olduğu düşünülerek 1950 ile 1980 arasında yayımlanmış kitaplar kapsama alınmıştır. Bu tarih aralığı hem cumhuriyet öncesi edebiyatı hem de Cumhuriyet Dönemi edebiyatını içeren kitapların yayımlandığı bir zaman dilimidir. Dolayısıyla yeni Türk edebiyatının büyük bir bölümüne kitaplar içinde yer verilmiştir. Çalışmada biyografik kitaplardaki veriler analiz edilmiş, edebiyat hayatını ilgilendiren başlıklar tespit edilmiştir. Yazarların biyografilerinden olabildiğince bağımsız bir yöntem uygulanmıştır. Edebiyat hayatının unsurları, geliştikleri dönemin şartları içinde değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Among the literary genres, poetry, novel, story and theater are at the forefront. Works in these genres are primarily deterministic for the recognition of poets and authors and their involvement in the history of literature. In addition to these, biographical texts in which litterateurs talk about their own lives and their environment have great importance for literature. As a matter of fact, such texts contain information about the personal life of poets and authors, their literary life, the characteristics of the period in which they lived, and other literary figures.In this thesis, important information and evaluations about the literature life in the biographical works of the litterateurs have been examined. The authors' own literary adventures, their views on other authors and works, and the major issues in the literary environment of the period they lived in have been taken into account. The works within the scope of the thesis include the period from the Tanzimat Period to 1980. A section of literary history of about 100 years has been examined in the light of the evaluations of poets and writers. Evaluations of poets and writers are important because they are based on testimonies.In the thesis, it will be seen to what extent the literary life narrated by the writers and the generally accepted opinions and periodization in the history of literature overlap. The most appropriate genres to see this are biographical texts. Considering that examining all biographical works written in the period of New Turkish literature is too voluminous for a thesis, only books which were published between 1950 and 1980 have been included. This date range is a period in which books containing both pre-republican literature and republican literature were published. Therefore, a large part of the new Turkish literature was included in the books.In the study, the data in the biographical books have been analyzed and the titles concerning the literature life have been determined. A method independent from the biographies of the authors has been used as much as possible. Elements of literature life have been tried to be evaluated within the conditions of the period in which they developed.
