Eğitim Sisteminde Öğretim Liderliği

Abstract

Liderlik kavramı, eğitim yönetimi, siyaset, sosyoloji ve psikolojinin önemli bir inceleme alanıdır. Liderlik eski çağlardan günümüze kadar önemini yitirmemiş bir konudur. 21. Yüzyılda klasik liderlik yaklaşımlarının yerini modern liderlik yaklaşımları almıştır. Etkili okullar değerlendirildiğinde merkezinde okul yöneticilerinin öğretim liderliği yer almaktadır. Okulun eğitim ve öğretim anlamında değişimi yakalaması, öğretmen iş birliği ve nihayetinde öğrenci başarısı üzerinde öğretim liderliği rolü oldukça önemlidir. Etkili okulların yöneticileri öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerini destekler ve öğretimsel becerilerinin artması için katkılarda bulunur. Öğretim liderliğine sahip bir okul yöneticisi öğrencilerin başarı düzeylerini artırma ve yüksek başarı beklentisini destekleyecek etkinlikleri oluşturur, öğretmenlerle beraber olumlu okul iklimini gerçekleştirir. Bu raporda modern liderlik yaklaşımlarından biri olan öğretim liderliğinin özellikleri ve eğitim sisteminde öğretim liderliğinin öneminin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Öğretim liderliği konusunda ilgili bilgilerin özetinin hazırlandığı çalışma derleme makalesi niteliğini taşımaktadır. Eğitimde öğretim liderliğinin özelliklerini ve önemini belirtmek için literatür taraması yapılmıştır.

The concept of leadership is an important field of study in educational administration, politics, sociology and psychology. Leadership is a subject that has not lost its importance since ancient times. In the 21st century, classical leadership approaches have been replaced by modern leadership approaches. When effective schools are evaluated, the teaching leadership of school administrators is at the center. The role of instructional leadership is very important for the school to catch up with change in terms of education and training, teacher cooperation and ultimately student success. The administrators of effective schools support the professional development of teachers and contribute to the increase of their instructional skills. A school administrator with instructional leadership creates activities to increase students' success levels and support high success expectations, and realizes a positive school climate together with teachers. In this report, it is aimed to reveal the characteristics of instructional leadership, which is one of the modern leadership approaches, and the importance of instructional leadership in the education system. Since the study presents a summary and synthesis of information on a particular subject, it is a review article. A literature review was conducted to indicate the characteristics and importance of instructional leadership in education.
