Azerbaycan Tarihi Coğrafyasından Günümüze Zengezur

Abstract

Zengezur, bugün bir kısmı Ermenistan bir kısmı Azerbaycan toprakları içerisinde yer alan “Rayon” adı verilen yedi idari birimden oluşan bir bölgedir. Bölge tarihi oldukça eski olmakla beraber bilhassa XIX. yüzyıl itibariyle dikkat çeken bir noktadır. Bir kısmının Ermenistan devleti sınırları içerisinde kalmasına rağmen Zengezur bugün hala Azerbaycan’ın tarihi toprakları denildiği zaman akla gelen ilk bölge olmaktadır. Zengezur topraklarının üzerinde yaşanılan akınların, savaşların, himayecilik çalışmalarının ve bütünüyle toprak kavgalarının binlerce sivilin ölümü ile sonuçlandığı yüzlerce belge ile doğrulanmaktadır. Ancak bu konu üzerine yapılan bilimsel çalışmalar ise oldukça azdır. Bu sorundan yola çıkılarak kaleme alınan bu tezde Zengezur’u, tarihi, sosyal ve siyasi yapısını anlamak amacı ile belgeleri incelemek bu yolda önemli bir adım niteliği taşımaktadır. Çalışma Zengezur’un toponiminden, tarihin erken devirlerinden, göç eden halklardan, güçlü devletlerin egemenliğinden, Rusların ve Ermenilerin bölgeye gelişi ile başlayacak olan buhran dolu yıllardan kronolojik olacak şekilde kaleme alınarak değerlendirilmesinden meydana gelmektedir.

Today, part of Zangezur is located within the territory of Armenia and part of Azerbaijan. It consists of seven administrative divisions called 'Rayon'. The history of the region is quite old, but especially in the 19th century. The region is a point that attracts attention as of the century. Despite the fact that part of it remains within the borders of the state of Armenia, Zengezur is still the first region that comes to mind today when it is called the historical lands of Azerbaijan. It is confirmed by hundreds of documents that the raids, wars, patronage works and land fights on Zengezur have resulted in the deaths of thousands of civilians. However, scientific studies on this subject are very few. In this thesis, which was written based on this problem, it is an important step on this path to examine the documents in Zengezur, with the aim of understanding the historical, political and social structure. The study consists of the toponymy of Zengezur, from the early stages of history, immigrating peoples, the authorities of powerful states, the depression-filled years that had begun with the arrival of the Russians and Armenians in the region, will be chronically explained.
