Öğrenci Yurtları Ortak Kullanım Alanlarının Mekân Kalitesi Bağlamında İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanım öncelikli amacı, söz konusu durumdaki Ateş Corner Öğrenci Yurdu (ACOY) öğrencilerinin fiziksel, psikolojik ve sosyal özelliklerine ilişkin memnuniyet düzeylerini ölçmektir. Çalışma dört ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde araştırmanın konusuna genel bir giriş, araştırmanın amacı, soruları ve önemi yer almaktadır. İkinci bölüm, öğrenci yurtlarının kapsamlı bir şekilde anlaşılmasını sağlayan genel teorik çerçeveyi ele almaktadır. Üçüncü bölüm, incelenmekte olan öğrenci yurdunun kullanılmaktaki durumunu, teorik ve mekän tanımlarını ele alır. Dördüncü bölüm ise, birçok yurt yatırım projesinin bu konuda düşündürebiliceği yüksek verimliliğe sahip bir öğrenci yurdu önerisini gözden geçirmektedir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, öğrenci yurdunun bazı lüks unsurlar haricinde uluslararası düzeyde genel standartların çoğunu uyguladığı ve öğrencilerın, yunfun sahip olduğu fiziksel, psikolojik, sosyal özelliklerinden memnuniyet düzeylerinin tatmin edici seviyede olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu konuda çalışan araştırmacılara, yurt yönetimlerinin, bu çalışmada incelendiği üzere, karşılanmayan psikolojik, sosyal ve fiziksel gereklilikler hakkında bilgi edindirmek ve yurtlarda kalan öğrencilerle yıllık veya üç ayda bir periyodik görüşmeler yapılması tavsiye edilmektedir. Bununla birlikte öğrenci yurtlarına ilişkin, şikayetlerin ve beklentilerin periyodik olarak gözden geçirilmesini ve öğrenci misafirler için daha fazla verimlilik ve rahatlık sağlamak üzere mümkün olduğunca çok sayıda ilgili markanın dahil edilmesini içeren çalışmaların yapılması önerilmektedir.

This study aimed to present a general theoretical framework about stodent dormitories in Turkey in general and specifically, and to explain a real example of one of these dormitories and to what extent it has been applied to approved Turkish standards for this service sector. The primary purpose of this study is to measure the satisfaction levels of the students of Ateş Corner Student Dormitory (ACOY) regarding their physical, psychological and social characteristics. The study consists of four main parts. In the first chapter, there is a general introduction to the subject of the research, the purpose, questions and importance of the research. The second part deals with the general theoretical framework that provides a comprehensive understanding of the dormitories. The third chapter deals with the current state of use, theoretical and spatial definitions of the student dormitory under investigation. The fourth section reviews the proposal for a highly efficient student dormitory that many dormitory investment projects might suggest. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the student dormitory applies most of the general standards at the international level, except for some luxury elementsand the satisfaction levels of the students with the physical, psychological and social features of the dormitory are at a satisfactory level. Researchers working on this subject are advised to provide information about the unmet psychological, social and physical requirements of dormitory administrations as examined in this study, and to conduct annual or quarterly periodic meetings with students staying in dormitories. However, it is recommended that studies be carried out on student dormitories that include periodic review of complaints and expectations and involving as many relevant authorities as possible to provide greater efficiency and convenience for student guests.
