Hiyel İlmi ve Enmûzec Türü İlimler Tasnifi Eserlerinde Mekanik Bilimin Konumu

Abstract

Teknolojinin gelişimiyle gündelik hayatımızın bir parçası haline gelen âlet ve makinelerin geçmiş zamanlardan bugüne nasıl geliştiğini ve icatların kimler tarafından ne şekilde gerçekleştirildiğinin izini sürebileceğimiz ilim dalı olan “hiyel”in (mekanik bilim/teknoloji) bilim tarihinde özel bir konumu bulunmaktadır. Tezimin konusu “Hiyel İlmi ve Enmûzec Türü İlimler Tasnifi Eserlerinde Mekanik Bilimin Konumu”dur. Bu çalışmadaki amacımız tarihsel süreç içerisinde kaleme alınan lügat ve sözlüklerde bir kavram olarak hiyelin anlamını/anlamlarını tespit etmek, klasik ilimler tasnifi eserlerinde müelliflerin taksim ettiği bilim disiplinlerinin içerisinde hiyel ilmini nerede ve nasıl konumlandırdıklarını belirlemek, özellikle enmûzec türü ilimler tasnifi eserlerinde yer alan ilim dalları arasında hiyel ilmini ve mekanik bilime dair disiplinleri keşfetmektir. Hiyel ilmi üzerine çalışan müelliflerin eserlerini, öne çıkan mekanizmaların gelecek eserlere sağladığı faydayı, icatların medeniyetler arasında gelişerek nasıl bir yol izlediği misaller ile birlikte sunarak, günümüzdeki teknolojinin tarihsel bağlamını ortaya çıkarmak öncü çalışmaların bugüne ve geleceğe etkilerini ve izlerini yorumlamaktır. Mekanizmaların, âletlerin ve disiplinlerin kavramsal bütünlük açısından ayrı ayrı ele alınışı “hiyel” ilminin bir gelenek halinde sürdürülüp, sürdürülmediğine dair de bilgi edinilmesine yol açacağı görüşündeyiz. Bu çalışma neticesinde hiyel ilminin tarihteki gelişim ve dönüşümü, günümüze tesiriyle birlikte bilimsel açıdan sistemsel bir şekilde ortaya konulmuştur.

“Hiyal” (mechanical science/technology), which is a branch of science in which we can trace how tools and machines, which have become a part of our daily lives with the development of technology, have developed from past times to the present and by whom and how the inventions were realized, has a special position in the history of science. The subject of my thesis is “The Positioning of Mechanical Science in Classification Works of Hiyal Knowledge and Enmûzec-type Science”. Our aim in this study is to determine the meaning(s) of hiyal as a concept in the dictionaries and lexicons written in the historical process, to determine where and how the authors positioned the science of hiyal within the disciplines of science in the classical works of the classification of sciences, and to discover the science of hiyal and the disciplines of mechanical science among the branches of science in the works of the classification of sciences, especially in the genre of enmûzec. To reveal the historical context of today’s technology by presenting the works of the authors working on the science of hiyal, the benefit of the prominent mechanisms to future works, and the way in which inventions developed and followed a path between civilizations, and to interpret the effects and traces of pioneering works on the present and future. We are of the opinion that the separate consideration of mechanisms, tools and disciplines in terms of conceptual integrity will lead to information on whether the science of “hiyal” has been maintained as a tradition or not. As a result of this study, the development and transformation of the science of hiyel in history, together with its impact on the present day, has been revealed in a systematic manner from a scientific point of view.
