Oğuz Atay’ın Kurmaca Yapıtlarında Mitolojik Unsurlar

Abstract

Dünya üzerindeki bütün toplumların kültürel bir mirası niteliğinde olan mitoloji, sosyal bilimlere de göz ardı edilemeyecek derecede tesir etmiştir. Bu etkileşimin kültürden kültüre etki süreci değişmekle beraber, Arap ve İran mitolojisi başta olmak üzere doğu mitleri edebiyatımızda daha eski dönemlerde görülürken, özellikle Batı mitolojisinin Türk edebiyatında batılılaşma hareketi ile gelip Osmanlı Döneminden günümüze kadar tesir ettiği gözlenmektedir. Bu durum, mitolojinin kuşaktan kuşağa aktarılan, canlı bir yapısı olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, mitolojinin geçmişten günümüze gelen teorik alt yapısının incelenmesi doğrultusunda mitlerin türleri ve diğer kültürlerle ilişkisinin değerlendirilmesi, edinilen bilgiler ışığında Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk edebiyatına kadar mitolojiyi konumlandırmaktır. Böylelikle 70’li yılların yazarlarından Oğuz Atay’ın eserlerinde mitolojiyi hangi şekillerde kullandığı hakkında fikir sahibi olmak, inceleme yapmak mümkün olacaktır.

As a cultural heritage of all societies around the world Mythology, has also influenced social sciences indisputably. Although influence process of this interaction varies from culture to culture, Eastern myths, significantly Arabian and Iranian mythologies, have been seen in our literature in earlier times. Western mythology, on the other hand, has been included in Turkish literature with the westernization movement and it has been observed that it influenced by the Ottoman Period until modern day. The aim of this study is to reveal the types of myths and their relevances with other cultures in line with the analyzation of the theoretical infrastructure of mythology from the past to the present, and to position mythology until the Turkish literature of the Republican Period in the light of the informations acquired. Furthermore, this research purposes to unearth the idea about the ways in which mythological elements are used in the works of Oğuz Atay, one of the significant authors brought up in our country in the 70’s, what their scope is, to examine and determine the mythological elements in his works.
