Riyâzat-ı Bedeniyye-i Tıbbiyye ve Tanzimat Dönemi Spor Terminolojisinin Oluşumu

Abstract

Yapmış olduğumuz bu çalışmada; Osmanlı Devleti’ndeki sporun geleneksel halden modern hale geçişini, geleneksel sporların durumunu, Osmanlı toplumuna yeni girmeye başlamış olan modern spor faaliyetlerini, spor oyunlarını ve bu alanda yapılan çevirileri ortaya koyduktan sonra evde aletsiz jimnastik üzerine yazılmış önemli bir çalışma olan ve Tanzimat Dönemi’nin ilk bilimsel spor eseri çevirisi “Riyâzat-ı Bedeniyye-i Tıbbiyye”yi incelemiş bulunmaktayız. Bu incelemeyi yaparken eserin yazarını ve mütercimini tanıttıktan sonra eserin genel özelliklerini, önemini, transkripsiyonlu metnini, modern Türkçeye çevirisini, spor terminolojisini, cümle yapısı incelemesini ve sözlüğünü ortaya koymuş bulunmaktayız. Modern spor eğitimi üzerine resimli ve açıklamalı bir eser olan “Riyâzat-ı Bedeniyye-i Tıbbiyye”yi bilimsel bir incelemeye tâbi tuttuk.

This thesis, which focuses on making the transition from traditional to modern of sport in Ottoman Empire, deals with the modern sport activities which were new in Ottoman Empire, sports game and translations in this field. In this thesis it is aimed to show Medical Indoor Gymnastics: or a System of Hygienic Exercises, which is an important study written about gymnastics without apparatus at home and first scientific sport translation in Tanzimat reform era. The purpose of this study is to show the interpret and translator of this work and general features, importance, the text with transcription, translation to modern Turkish, terminology of sport, studiying of sentence structure and lexion. As a result of the study, we’ll be seen Medical Indoor Gymnastics: or a System of Hygienic Exercises which is the work with illustrated and expositional stylistically written about education of modern sport.
