Ahmet Mithat Efendi’nin Tercüme Yaklaşımı Çerçevesinde Letâif-i Rivâyât’taki Sosyal Kavramlar

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Ahmet Mithat Efendi’nin düşünce, sanat ve tercüme anlayışının temelinde yatan İslam-Osmanlı Medeniyeti’nin temel unsurlarının izini takip etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu çerçeveden hareketle özelde yazarın tercüme stratejilerini belirleyen geleneksel unsurların tebarüz ettiği edebî eserlerinden Letâif-i Rivâyât isimli külliyatı değerlendirilmiştir. Birinci bölümde Osmanlı Medeniyeti ve Tercüme Hareketleri konusu ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde, Ahmet Mithat Efendi’nin düşünce dünyası izah edilmiştir. Ayrıca bu bölümde Ahmet Mithat Efendi’nin tercüme yaklaşımı incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde Ahmet Mithat Efendi’nin tercüme yaklaşımı ışığında Letâif-i Rivâyât’taki sosyal kavramları ele alışı değerlendirilmiştir.

In this work, it is aimed to trace the roots of basic elements of Islamic-Ottoman Civilization underlying Ahmet Mithat Efendi’s conception of thought, art, and translation. From this standing point, his Letâif-i Rivâyât, which reflect the traditional elements shaping writer’s translation strategies were elaborated. In the first section, the subject of Ottoman Civilization and Translation Movements was evaluated. In the second section, Ahmet Mithat Efendi’s world of thought is explained in general terms. Aditionally Ahmet Mithat Efendi’s translation strategies were analyzed in same section. In the third section by elaborating some social concepts under the light of Ahmet Mithat Efendi’s translation strategies, this approach was analyzed over his Letâif-i Rivâyât.
