İlkokul 1. ve 4. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Okul Algısı

Abstract

Bu araştırma, İstanbul Bahçelievler ilçesindeki bir devlet ilkokulunda öğrenim görmekte olan 1. ve 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin okula yönelik algılarını ortaya çıkarmayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden Durum Çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 70’i 1. sınıf, 70’i 4. sınıf olmak üzere toplam 140 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilerle odak grup görüşmeleri yapılarak toplanan veriler, betimsel analiz yaklaşımı ile yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada “Öğrencilere göre okulun anlamı nedir?” ana teması incelendiğinde, alt temalarda ortak olarak görülen, eğitim öğretim sürecindeki unsurlar ile öğretmen ve dersle ilgili kavramlardır. Ayrıca araştırmanın diğer ana temasını oluşturan “Okula ilişkin öğrencilerin duygusal algıları nelerdir?” sorusuna ait ortaya çıkan alt temalarda öğretmen, ders, fiziki unsurlar ve arkadaş ön plana çıkmaktadır.

This research aims to reveal the perceptions of the first and fourth grade students, studying in a public primary school in Istanbul Bahçelievler district. The case study research design was used as a part of qualitative research method. The study group consists of total 140 students; of whom 70 students are first graders and 70 are fourth graders. Focus group interviews were conducted with the students and data was interpreted with a descriptive analysis approach. The main theme of study focused on the following question: "What does school mean for students?" and it was found that all the sub themes align with the notions of “teacher and course related topics”. Also, the other main question, "What are the emotional perceptions of students related to the school?" showed that sub themes are shaped with the notions of “teachers, lessons, physical elements and friends”.
