Beşiktaşlı Hattat Mehmed Nuri Korman Hayatı ve Eserleri

Abstract

Hat sanatının zirve dönemi olarak kabul edilen XIX. yy.’da birbirinden kıymetli sanatkârlar yetişmiştir. Bu isimlerden biri de Beşiktaşlı lakabıyla mâruf Hacı Nûri Korman’dır. Kazasker tavrının son temsilcilerinden sayılan Nûri Efendi, Medresetü’l-Hattâtîn ve Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi’nde yazı hocalığı yapmıştır. Bu dönemin önde gelen sanatkârları hakkında muhtelif çalışmalar bulunmasına karşın Nûri Efendi’yle ilgili yapılmış kapsamlı bir çalışmanın bulunmayışı bir eksiklik olarak düşünülmüş ve bu teze konu olarak seçilmiştir. Bu tez, Nûri Efendi’nin hayatı ve sanatı hakkında elde edilen bilgiler ile eserlerini ilk kez iki kapak arasında bir araya getiren bir çalışmadır. Eserlerinin görselleri için çeşitli müze, kütüphane ve özel koleksiyonların yanı sıra bazı özel fotoğraf arşivlerine de başvurulmuştur. Mimarî yapılarda bulunan yazıları yerinde tedkîk edilip fotoğraflanmış, elde edilen eser görselleri türlerine göre tasnif edilip kronolojik biçimde sıralanarak bir katalog oluşturulmuş ve eserlerle ilgili bilgiler maddeler hâlinde verilmiştir. Tez vesilesiyle daha önce yayımlanmamış ve pek bilinmeyen bazı eserleri ortaya çıkmış, bir kısmı gençlik dönemlerine ait olan bu yazılarından bazılarının, Nûri Efendi’nin en nâdide sayılabilecek yazıları mesâbesinde olduğu anlaşılmıştır.

In the XIXth century precious artisans were trained. This era is considered to be the peak period for the art of calligraphy. One of the famous artists of this time was Hacı Nûri Korman, known by his nickname Beşiktaşli (from Beşiktaş which is a district in Istanbul). Korman is considered to be one of the last representatives of the Kazasker style. He taught calligraphy lessons at the Medresetü'l-Hattâtîn and the Academy of Fine Arts. Although there are various studies on the leading artists of this period, the lack of a comprehensive study on Hacı Nûri Efendi was considered a deficiency and was chosen as the subject of this thesis. This thesis is a compilation of information about Nûri Efendi’s life, art, and his works. For the visuals of his art works, various museums, libraries and private collections as well as private photo archives were surveyed. His writings found in architectural structures were examined and photographed on site. The visuals of the works were classified according to their types and arranged chronologically to create a catalog, and information about the art works were presented. Some of his previously unpublished and unknown art works have been discovered. A portion of these works belong to his youth and are the most rare writings of Nûri Efendi.
