Ayşegül Genç’in Hikâye ve Romanlarında Aile Görünümleri ve Ailenin Toplumsal Bir Mesele Olarak İncelenmesi

Abstract

Kabaca “toplumu oluşturan en küçük yapı” diye tanımladığımız aile müstakil bir kavram olmanın yanı sıra toplumu anlamak ve anlamlandırmak için başvurabileceğimiz toplumsal bir meseledir. Aile içindeki psikolojik çatışmalar, değişen dünyada ailenin ve aile bireylerinin tavrı ve tutumu, kadın ve erkek olarak aileye aidiyetimiz yazarın zihniyetini de içine alarak edebiyat eserlerinde sıkça karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Edebiyatın toplumsal bir faaliyet olması, edebi eserin bu toplumun bir vesikası olarak ele alınmasına olanak sağlar. Ailenin de bu toplumun en küçük yapısı olması bu iki kavramın birlikte okunmasını mümkün kılar. Ayşegül Genç’in kurmaca yapıtlarında aile kavramı merkeze alınarak ebeveynliği ve evliliği irdelemek, kendi hayat görüşü ve toplumsal zeminde nereye tekabül ettiğini sorgulamak bu çalışmanın temel amacıdır.

The family, which we broadly define as "the smallest unit that constitutes society," is not only an independent concept but also a social issue we can refer to in order to understand and interpret society. Psychological conflicts within the family, the attitudes and behaviors of the family and its members in a changing world, and our sense of belonging to the family as women and men frequently appear in literary works, reflecting the author's mindset. The fact that literature is a social activity allows the literary work to be considered as a document of this society. The family, being the smallest unit of this society, makes it possible for these two concepts to be understood together. The primary aim of this study is to examine parenthood and marriage by focusing on the concept of family in Ayşegül Genç's fictional works and to question where her perspective and the social ground correspond.
