Ayvansaray’daki İvaz Efendi Camisi’nde Yürütülen Son Restorasyon Çalışmaları

Abstract

Mimar Sinan tarafından yapılıp-yapılmadığı bilinmeyen İvaz Efendi Camisi, Suriçi’nin Ayvansaray semtinde yer almaktadır. Eski Bizans Sarayı’nın altyapısı üzerinde yükselen cami, XVI. yüzyılın sonlarında yapılmıştır. Zaman içinde deprem veya yangınlardan etkilenerek günümüze ulaşan yapının tek minaresi bulunmaktadır. 2013 yılında başlayan restorasyon çalışmalarının sonlarına gelinmiştir. Yapının kurşunları yenilenmiş, gerekli noktalarda taş değişimleri, sağlamlaştırmalar, derz çalışmaları yapılmış, var olduğu kaynaklarda belirtilen ve yapıyı kuzey-batı-doğu yönlerden kuşatan dış saçak, bu restorasyon sırasında yapı cephelerine eklenmiştir. Eski belge ve bilgiler doğrultusunda hazırlanan Anıtlar Kurulu onaylı projesine göre yapılan bu ekin, taşıyıcı direklerine ait kaideler modern döşeme altında kendilerini muhafaza etmekteydiler. Caminin iç mekânında, yan galerilerin döşemelerinde, mihrap cephesinde ve döşemede de gereken müdahaleler yapılmış olup, bunlar makalede detaylı biçimde anlatılmıştır. Bir diğer önemli nokta, kalemişi ve hat ile ilgili müdahaleler olmuştur. Yine eski fotoğraflar üzerinden gidilerek hazırlanan kalemişi projesi doğrultusunda bu konuda da gereken çalışmalar yapılmıştır.

Designed by Architect Sinan which is not known, however; the İvaz Efendi Mosque is located in Ayvansaray region of the historical İstanbul. It was built at the end of the XVI. Century over the ruins of the Old Byzantium Palace. Being damaged because of the eathquakes and fires throughout the time, it has survived till today having one minaret. The restoration Works are about to be completed, which were initiated in 2013. Duirng the restoration period, the lead coverings and damaged stones were renewed, reinforcement works and groove adjustments were carried out. The previously existing canopy on north, west and east facades of the building was replaced depending on the old documents. The base structures of this canopy were even discovered under the crrent modern flooring. Besides the above mentioned works, some other Works were also carried out in central interior, on the floorigs of the side galleries, on mihrap and on the central interiors’ floorings. All these Works are mentioned detailedly in the essay. Another important point is about the painting and writing figures of the interor surfaces. Again considering the old documents and photographs, the projects were prepared and carried out on site accordingly.
