Abstract

Aşık Paşa took trade as a theme in Garibname, written in the 14th century. After counting the conditions of Akhi institution as an artisan organisation of the day he mentioned mining then he considered mony. According to Aşık Paşa thele were three kinds of coin: golden, silver an copper. Currency was served by them. Transportation of woods that were brougth to bazar was possible by shipping. So, shipping was a necessity. Aşık Paşa was a poet, interested in trade a a social theme during his age.
