Abstract

An important part of each person's life is childhood and this period can not be negligible. Moreover, the world of the future is formed by children. From this point of view, we can say that children are also an important part of our life. A child grows up with loving. Loving care has a crucial role information of child's emotions. An indication of child love is poetry. Poetry is the most beautiful tool that keeps the child in loving state. One of the significant themes in our modern day poetry is childhood. We come across with child in poems of many of our poets. In this paper, we investigate and present under various classifications the childhood theme in poets written in Turkish in the era called Modern Turkish Literature.
