İstanbul'daki hanların yeniden işlevlendirilmesinde mekansal dönüşüm ve yapısal müdahalelerin özgünlüğü koruma kapsamında incelenmesi

Abstract

Hem tarihi hem de coğrafi olarak önemli bir noktada bulunan İstanbul şehri, bu iki temanın sonucu olarak, çok sayıda kültürel miras ögesini barındırmaktadır. Asırlar boyunca meydana gelen değişimlerin en önemli somut göstergelerinden biri de mimari mirastır. Üretim ve alışverişin insan yaşantısı boyunca dönüşerek devam ettiğini göz önünde bulundurursak, bugüne kadar gelebilmiş mimari miras alanları, tarihsel süreçteki dönüşümlerin yapısal izdüşümü olarak karşımıza çıkarlar. Bu bağlamda ticari yapılar, geçirdikleri çok sayıda yapısal dönüşümlerle birlikte, değişen yaşam kültürünü izleyebileceğimiz önemli göstergelerdir. İstanbul'da değişen yaşam kültürüne bağlı olarak Eminönü Hanlar bölgesi ve Galata Hanları günümüze kadar uzanmış önemli bir yapı grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Değişen sosyal ve ekonomik koşullar sonucu bu yapılarda da kullanım farklılıkları ve bu farklılıklara yönelik yeni çözümler üretilmiştir. Bu tez çalışmasında, han mimarisinin olgunlaşma süreci ve gelinen nokta araştırılmış, yeniden işlevlendirmenin dinamikleri ve metotları incelenmiş, örneklendirilmiştir. Değişen kullanım tarzına paralel olarak yeniden işlevlendirilen hanlar derlenmiştir. Hanlar teker teker tespit edilip, güncelde kullanımları belgelenmiştir. Yeniden işlevlendirme projesi olarak irdelenmiş. Otantik özellikleri ile nasıl mimari çözümler geliştirildiği incelenmiştir.

Located at an important point both historically and geographically, the city of Istanbul hosts many cultural heritage. One of the most important concrete indicators of the changes that have taken place over the centuries is architectural heritage. Production and shopping have continued to transform throughout human life. The historical transformations of architectural heritage sites that have survived to the present day reveal their structural projections. In this context, commercial buildings, with the numerous structural transformations they have undergone, become important indicators in which the changing culture of life can be monitored. Depending on the changing culture of life in Istanbul, Eminönü Inns region and Galata Inns constitute important building groups that have survived to the present day. As a result of changing social and economic conditions, differences in usage are observed in these buildings. New solutions have been produced for these differences. In this thesis study, the maturation process of inn architecture and its present day have been researched, and the dynamics and methods of reuse have been examined and exemplified. Inns that were reused in accordance with changing usage styles were investigated. The inns were identified one by one and their current use was documented. It was examined as a reused project. It was examined how architectural solutions were developed with its authentic features.
