Brezilya Paraty Bölgesi Geleneksel Konut Mimarisi

Abstract

İnsanlık var oluşundan beri çeşitli ihtiyaçlara gerek duymuştur, bu ihtiyaçların başında barınma yer almaktadır. Toplumların değişen ihtiyaçları, zaman içerisinde bölgesel kimlik oluşumunda asıl rol oynayan, kültür yapısının gelişmesiyle birlikte eşsiz sonuçlar ortaya çıkarmıştır. Kültürü, etkileyen alt faktörlerden biri de coğrafyadır. Bölgenin yapı malzemeleri, yer koşulları, iklim yapısı, doğal afet vb. faktörler kültürün oluşum sürecine etki eden etmenlerden bazılarıdır. Kültür bağlamı içerisinde kendisine yer bulan geleneksel yapım sistemi, eşsiz tasarımların beraberinde detay çözümlerinden de oluşmaktadır. Bölgenin geleneksel yapıları ve oluşum süreci incelenirken bölge tarihi ile birlikte ele alınmaktadır, tarihi önem arz eden yapıların birçoğu kamu hizmeti vb. nedenler ile inşa edilmiştir, bu yapıların inşasında kullanılan malzemelerin, geleneksel yapı malzemelerinden farklı olduğundan/olabileceğinden, yapı ve malzeme incelemesi sırasında malzeme tercihinde etkili olan etmenler ile birlikte bütüncül olarak ele alınmalıdır. Bu sayede bölgede bulunan yapı ve malzemeleri arasındaki ilişki, yapı cephe ve malzemeleri okunurken, işlevinin anlaşılabilirliğinde de etkili olacaktır. Brezilya’nın Paraty bölgesi, çalışma kapsamında önce kısa tarihi ardından bölgeye ve yakın çevresine özgü yapım teknikleri ile ele alınmıştır. Kasabanın ekonomik, coğrafik ve kültür yapısının kasabaya dönemsel etkileri ile birlikte çeşitli devinimler ortaya çıkmış, bölgesel bir kimlik oluşmasını sağlamıştır. Bu kimlik bağlamında bölgenin geleneksel yapıları sosyal ve teknik yönleri ile birlikte mimari açıdan ele alınmış ve incelenmiştir.

Since the beginning of its existence, mankind has had various needs, and shelter has been one of the most important of these needs. The changing needs of societies have produced unique results with the development of cultural structure, which plays a major role in the formation of regional identity over time. One of the sub-factors influencing culture is geography. Building materials of the region, location conditions, climatic structure, natural disasters, etc. are some of the factors that influence the formation process of culture. The traditional construction system, which finds its place in the context of culture, consists of unique designs as well as detailed solutions. While studying the traditional buildings and the formation process of the region, it is treated together with the history of the region, many of the historically important buildings were built for reasons such as public service, etc. Since the materials used in the construction of these buildings are / may be different from traditional building materials, they should be treated holistically along with the factors that affect the material preference during the building and material analysis. In this way, the relationship between the building and its materials in the region will be effective in understanding its function while reading the building facade and materials. Within the framework of the study, the Paraty region of Brazil is discussed first with its short history and then with the construction techniques specific to the region and its immediate surroundings. With the periodic effects of the economic, geographical and cultural structure of the city on the city, different movements have emerged, leading to the formation of a regional identity. In the context of this identity, the traditional buildings of the region have been studied and analyzed architecturally together with their social and technical aspects.
