Ulubey’deki Osmanlı Dönemi Çeşmeleri

Abstract

Uşak ili, Ulubey ilçesindeki Osmanlı dönemine ait çeşmeler ile ilgili yaptığımız çalışmada, ilçe merkezinde üç, ilçeye bağlı köylerde yirmi bir olmak üzere toplamda yirmi dört çeşme tespit edilmiştir. Yapıların çoğu, ait oldukları 18-20. yüzyıllar arasındaki dönemin plan ve bezeme öğeleri ile karakteristik özelliklerini büyük ölçüde yansıtmaktadır. Bazı yapılar ise zamanın ve insanların yol açtığı tahribatlar ile işlevsiz kalmıştır. Saptadığımız her eserin fotoğrafı çekilmiş, gerekli olanların ölçüleri alınarak krokileri çizilmiş ve tümünün GPS değerleri alınmıştır. Çalışmamızda öncelikli amaç, arazi çalışmaları ile belirlenen çeşmelerin tanıtımının yapılarak belgelenmesidir. Çalışmanın değerlendirme kısmında da zaman, doğal ya da beşeri yollarla yok olmaya başlayan Ulubey çeşmelerinin korunma durumlarına değinilerek, Uşak çeşmeleri ve Anadolu Türk çeşme mimarisi içerisindeki yerleri tartışılmıştır.

Three fountains in the center of Ulubey town and twenty one in its villages totaling to twentyfour have been identified in this study on the fountains of the Ottoman period in Ulubey district in Uşak province. Most of the fountains largely preserve their characteristic features indicating with their designs and decorative elements that they belong to the period between 18th and 20th centuries. Some of the structures became useless due to the destructions caused by people and the time. Each of the fountains has been photographed, their sizes measured, sketches drawn and GPS codes of their location recorded. Thus, the primary objective of our study is to prepare detailed documentation based on filed studies for those fountains under consideration. The study also discusses the issues related to the preservation of Ulubey fountains beginning to disappear as result of natural causes and human interventions and evaluates them with reference to the architectural features of Uşak and Anatolian Turkish fountains.
