Sara Şahinkanat’ın Resimli Hikâye Kitaplarının Çocuk Edebiyatı Özellikleri Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract

Çocuk edebiyatı ürünleri, çocukların gelişimlerine; hayallerine, duygularına, düşüncelerine, yeteneklerine ve zevklerine hitap eden sözlü ve yazılı ürünlerdir. Toplumsal değerlerin aktarılmasında, ana dilin zenginliklerinin kavratılmasında ve çocukların eğitilmesinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu araştırmanın amacı da çocuk kitabı yazarlarından Sara Şahinkanat adlı yazarın kitaplarını dış yapı, iç yapı, yazınsal ve eğitsel ilkelere uygunlukları açısından incelemektir. Araştırmanın deseni durum çalışması, yöntemi nitel araştırma yöntemidir. Bu çalışmada incelenen dokümanlar “Üç Kedi Bir Dilek”, “Üç Kedi Bir Canavar”, “Annemin Çantası”, “Babamın Battaniyesi”, “Yavru Ahtapot Olmak Çok Zor”, “Maymun Kral”, “Kim Korkar Kırmızı Başlıklı Kız’dan?”, “Mevsimlere Güzelleme” isimli eserlerdir. Çalışmada veriler doküman incelemesi yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Kitapların incelenmesinde araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen “Kitap İnceleme Kriterleri Formu” kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak; Sara Şahinkanat tarafından kaleme alınan kitaplar zaman içerisinde hem kurgu yönüyle hem de hikâyede yer alan resim özellikleriyle ilerleme kaydetmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucu ışığında, eserlerin kitap sırtlarının yuvarlak/oval olması, eserlerde yer alan metinlerin kısa veya orta uzunlukta fakat kurallı cümleler şeklinde kaleme alınması, metinlerdeki yazım ve noktalama yanlışlarının düzeltilmesi, kimi zaman hikâyenin kurgusu içinde bir zorunluluk olsa da çocukların ruhsal ve psikolojik gelişimi için sakıncalı olan kelimelerin kullanılmaması önerilebilir.

Children's literature products are verbal and written products that appeal to children’s development, their dreams, feelings, thoughts, abilities and tastes. They have an important role in transferring social values, making the richness of the mother tongue well comprehended and educating children. The purpose of this research is to examine the books of Sara Şahinkanat, one of the children's book authors, in terms of their conformity with external structure, internal structure, literary and educational principles. The design of the research is case study, the method is qualitative research method. The documents analyzed in this study are the works named “Three Cats One Wish”, “Three Cats One Monster”, “Mom's Bag”, “My Father's Blanket”, “It Is Too Hard To Be A Baby Octopus”, “Monkey King”, “Who Is Afraid Of The Little Red Riding Hood? and “A Folk Song In Praise Of The Seasons”. In the study, the data were collected by document analysis method. In the analysis of the books, the "Book Review Criteria Form with Expert Opinion" which was developed by the researcher was used. As a result, the books written by Sara Şahinkanat have progressed in time both from the aspect of fiction and the characteristic of having pictures in the story. In the light of the results of the research, it is recommended that the spines of the books are round/oval, the texts in the works are written in short or medium-length but regular sentences, the spelling and punctuation errors in the texts are corrected, words that are objectionable despite their sometimes being a necessity in the fiction of the story are not used for the spiritual and psychological development of children.
