Yaşamdan Bilince: Aristoteles ve Hegel’de Efendi ve Köle İlişkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Aristoteles’in etik ve politika metinleri incelenerek efendi ve köle ilişkisinin bilinç ve bilgi problemi olmadığı gibi zor, sömürü ve üretim ilişkisi olmadığına dikkat çekilecektir. Çalışmanın temel tezi, Aristoteles düşüncesinde efendi ve köle ilişkisinin hane ile koşullanmış bir yaşam ilişkisi olarak tasarlandığıdır. Bu amaçla Aristoteles düşüncesinde efendi ve köleyi bir arada tutan yaşam ilişkisinin modern dönemde Hegel ile birlikte yerini bilince ve ölüme bırakışının izi sürülecektir. Hegel’de tanınma mücadelesi şeklinde tasarlanan efendi ve köle diyalektiğinin açığa çıkardığı tahakküm ilişkisinin yaşamı olumlamaya neden katkı sunamadığı ve neden sunması gerektiğine yoğunlaşacaktır. Bunun karşısında Aristoteles’in birlikte-yaşamaya vurgusuna vurgu yapılacak ve Hegel düşüncesinin hangi açılardan birlikte-yaşama imkânı sunamadığı izah edilecektir. Böylece çalışma, politik felsefede yerleşik hale gelen Hegelci ve modern ekonomi-politik yaklaşımla yapılan Aristoteles’i okumaları yerine; Aristoteles aracılığıyla yaşamı olumlamaya, birlikte-yaşamaya katkı sunmaya çalışacaktır.

In this study, Aristotle's ethical and political texts will be analyzed to draw attention to the fact that the master-slave relationship is not a problem of consciousness and knowledge, nor a relationship of coercion, exploitation and production. The main thesis of the study is that the master-slave relationship in Aristotle's thought is conceived as a life relationship conditioned by the household. For this purpose, it will be traced how the life relation that holds master and slave together in Aristotelian thought is replaced by consciousness and death in the modern period with Hegel. It will focus on why the relationship of domination revealed by the dialectic of master and slave, which is designed as a struggle for recognition in Hegel, cannot and should not contribute to the affirmation of life. Against this, Aristotle's emphasis on coexistence will be emphasized and how Hegelian thought fails to offer the possibility of coexistence will be explained. Thus, the study will try to contribute to the affirmation of life and coexistence through Aristotle, instead of the readings of Aristotle made with the Hegelian and modern political economy approach that has become established in political philosophy.
